What Can I Expect from VESIcare?
Commonly Asked Questions for People Who Take VESIcare

If your doctor prescribed VESIcare, remember the following important information:
  • You should take one pill a day or as directed by your doctor. It's important that you take VESIcare daily—not just when you think you'll need it.
  • The medicine in VESIcare can only work when you take it—if you stop, your symptoms could return. That's why it's important to keep up with refills as directed by your doctor.
  • If you forget to take VESIcare and skip a dose, don't try to "double up" by taking two pills the next day. Instead, just take the regular dose the next day.
  • When you're just getting started with VESIcare, you may see an effect in as early as one week, but it may take a couple of weeks to get the full benefit of the medicine. Stick with it—your bladder symptoms didn't start overnight, and your relief won't start overnight either.

Important Safety Information
VESIcare is for urgency, frequency, and leakage (overactive bladder). VESIcare is not for everyone. If you have certain types of stomach, urinary, or glaucoma problems, do not take VESIcare. While taking VESIcare, if you experience a serious allergic reaction, severe abdominal pain, or become constipated for three or more days, tell your doctor right away. In studies, common side effects were dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, and indigestion.
